I Wanna Iguana

Picture
These are some of the most misspelled words because they make very little phonemic sense.  This week we will focusing on breaking the words into syllables.  The students will learn that the -le is always attached to a consonant.  We will also be reviewing the vowel syllable rule from last week.  (Vowel at the end of the syllable says its long sound.  Vowels not at the end of the syllable say their short sound).  It's not enough to just memorize the spelling, it is important that your child understands this pattern as well!
